One-of-a-Kind Powder Room
This is the sink that inspired it all. We get a lot of questions about the story behind this unique powder room, so here it goes.
We designed a variety of rooms throughout this client’s home, but it all started here. Their powder room is always a popular photo — and for good reason. The sink you see is original to the home, as is the floor tiling. These features are obviously quite unique, so we were excited to keep them and make them the inspiration for the rest of the powder room.
We started with the walls. The design of the wallpaper is a custom Ami Austin Home design. It is inspired by slate — the textures, the gradients, the uniqueness of every single piece. No two pieces of this stone are alike, and the same is true for each of these wallpaper panels. To achieve this look, we first laid out slate pieces on the floor until we got the right variation. Our supplier, Phillip Jeffries, then laser-printed the design, working through each panel to ensure it matched the original vision and gave our client a totally custom, one-of-a-kind wall.
The result is an absolutely stunning, tranquil, Moroccan-inspired look that’s complemented by the gold-tone mirror, light fixture, and shelves.
